The ACME Frank Lloyd Wright “Playhouse” Limited Edition Roller Ball is a highly collectible writing instrument that draws its unique design from the colorful windows of the Avery Coonley Playhouse, a children’s playhouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This pen features striking silver line work, often accented with red, yellow, and blue, set against either a black or white background, directly reflecting the original window patterns that evoked balloons and confetti from a Fourth of July Parade. As alimited edition piece, like the 1998 release which was capped at 500 units, it’s a sought-after item for collectors. Manufactured by ACME Studio, a company renowned for its collaborations with notable artists and designers, the pen boasts a well-crafted metal barrel, hand-applied color images, and fine lacquers, ensuring a comfortable weight and shape. Further enhancing its collectible appeal are the engraved Frank Lloyd Wright signature on the cap band and the ACME logo on the clip.
